County Prep Fashion students visited LIM College in NYC, toured the college, and attended a presentation and panel discussion. County Prep /LIM College alumni Amanda Carter and Jeanine Martinez, both County Prep class of 2016, and Alyssa Ypil, County Prep class of 2018, all recent graduates of LIM College and working professionals in the fashion industry, lead the panel. Topics of career opportunities in the fashion industry were discussed with insight into how particular fashion majors can help students achieve their career goals. The importance of internships and preparation for employment were addressed. Amanda, Jeanine, and Alyssa highlighted that taking fashion as their major in high school helped them decide that fashion would be their future in college as well as their career goal.
