County Prep juniors and seniors visited Fairleigh Dickinson University on Friday, November 3, 2023. These enthusiastic students met with Israel Delgado from the Latino Promise program and current FDU Latino Promise students to get an in-depth view of the benefits of a small program tailored to the unique needs of students coupled with the vast resources of a large institution. One of County Prep's 2023 graduates spoke to the group as to how this program has changed his life. In addition, the students toured the campus including classrooms, offices, and the library. The day concluded with a complimentary luncheon and an opportunity to experience a typical day as a college student. This work based learning experience exposed students to the different career trajectories possible at this higher education institution.
