Ira Stern from the Youth Transitions to Work (YTTW) Automotive Technician/Diesel Mechanic Apprenticeship program spoke with County Prep students on Monday, November 21 to discuss careers in the auto services industry. This Apprenticeship is a full-time employment opportunity combined with On-The-Job training and related classroom instruction. Students take classes in theory and apply them in a real-life setting. It is designed to prepare highly skilled workers in the Automotive and Diesel technology field through a non-traditional approach to training and development. The presentation exposed students to a viable post-secondary career trajectory with an opportunity for advanced education.
