Seven County Prep seniors attended he New Jersey Transit Academy on Tuesday, October 30, 2018. This workshop provided students with an opportunity to tour NJ Transit’s Central Maintenance Facility, Railroad Car Shop, and to attend several break-out sessions including resume preparation, interviewing skills, and NJ Transit’s hiring procedures. One of the highlights included a tour of the “command center” that monitors all rail traffic in New Jersey. It was a valuable structured learning experience that increased students’ awareness of the benefits and career trajectories within the organization.
